The future of First Street
Sept. 29, 2008 - Eight years ago, redeveloping First Street was just an idea, a long-term goal identified in the city's downtown strategic plan.
But in recent months, old buildings have been demolished and new ones have been erected, leaving a cloud of dust and physical proof that the $100 million-plus First Street Redevelopment project is no longer just an idea.
