With the steel structure completed over the winter, this spring work on Building #1 has moved to framing of exterior walls and construction of the building facade. Brick workers have been installing the brick and cast stone walls, starting from the north wall and moving around the east side of the building. Windows are being installed as the brick work is completed.

Utility work is ongoing within the sidewalk areas in front of Building #1. This work started at the south of the site along Illinois Street and will continue west around the building, then heading north up First Street. Temporary parking closures will occur as the utility work extends further north into the parking stalls along the east side of First Street.

Meanwhile, construction has begun on the public parking deck to be located east of Building #1, in the center of the Phase 3 site. Construction crews are working on framing the foundation walls for the lower level, which will be partially below grade.
